Four day long festival of Kite fills Hyderabad with festive fervor where everyone seems ready to either fly their kites, piercing the blue sky or cheering their fellow kite flyers as they cut through other kites. With kites of various colors, sizes and shapes, the festival makes for a beautiful sight with blue sky filled with colours unlimited. The festival is organized during the month of January. Hence, the pleasantly cool weather of the city during this month makes the experience of kite flying even better. However, A wide array of stunning kites paints the sky of Hyderabad with innumerable colors, creating a site worth remembering.

From professional kite fliers to hobbyists to first-timers, everyone take part in this festival with equal enthusiasm. Although the Kite festival is organised in daylight, some parts of the city also celebrate the festival in night. Flying kite in the night is soon becoming popular amongst many kite lovers. Wide-ranging shapes and sizes of kites with halogen lights pointed upwards fill the sky in night like beautiful stars.
