Dedicated to the Hindu community, the temple has a presiding deity of Goddess Lakshmi in all her 8 forms and offers magnificent vibes to all those who come here to seek blessings from the Goddess of wealth, prosperity, and happiness. History and Architecture of Ashtalakshmi Temple, Kothapet

Possessing a touch of South Indian style architecture that deserves high praise, the design of the Ashtalakshmi Temple is simple yet worth seeing. Built under the guidance of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji, the construction of this place commenced in April 1996. It took a total of 5 years to complete its structure with an expenditure of approximately 20 million rupees. Several people from many quarters came forward to donate for this temple in large amounts.

Located on the outskirts of the city, in Kothapet, it is said that the architecture of the temple is the replica of the original Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, which is based in Chennai. However, several modifications were made with time.

Inside the temple, the installed idols of the Mother Lakhsmi are Sri Vijaya Lakshmi, Sri Aishwarya Lakshmi, Sri Vara Lakshmi, Sri Santana Lakshmi, Sri Gaja Lakshmi, Sri Dhana Lakshmi, Sri Dhanya Lakshmi, and Sri Aadi Lakshmi. Other than that, you can also see the idols of Lord Ganesha, Lord Garuda, and Lord Srimannarayana in the temple.
