Ocean Park Hyderabad: Situated at Gandipet which is 20 km from the city of Hyderabad, Ocean Park is an amusement park that promises each and every one a day full of entertainment and fun. One of the first theme parks that have been opened in the city, Ocean Park is spread across a huge area with two sections; one for water sports and another solely for amusement games.

This family amusement park, Ocean Park Hyderabad offers something for visitors of all age groups. There are varied choices ranging from water rides, kiddies pool, wave pool, water slides and dry rides. Kiddies Pool, 60-Ft High Ride, the Slam Bomb and Bumping Cars are the major attraction of the Ocean Park. One can also go for Jet Skiing.

Dry rides such as Super loop, 60 feet high ride, bumping cars, slam bomb, Brake Dance, Super Jet and High Swinger promises at least a few moments filled with excitement and thrill. A wide range of water rides are Pendulum, Aqua Snake, Crazy Cruize, Zip Zap Zoom, Multilane Ride, Wave Pool, Harakiri,Tornodo, Aqua-Glide, Aqua Trail and Splash are also available.

There is also a kids section in the park with wading pool and fountain. Kids also have toy train, helicopters, huge air filled balloon, video games for their entertainment. The wave pool and the swimming pool also have different sections for men, women and children.

All the rides are included in the Ocean Park entry fee. Popular rides include Super Loop, Bumping Cars, Rope Way and Bumper Boats.

There are a few things to keep in mind while you are at Ocean Park. For instance, when going for water slides, visitors are required to wear only the swimming clothes. One can either bring their swimming costumes or else buy at venue itself. However, for women costumes only on the rental basis are available while for men it is available for sale as well. If you are coming in your own vehicle then you need to pay the parking charges at the venue. Visitors are not allowed to take food inside the park.

Ocean park timings are from 11 am to 7.30 pm, while water games are open only till 6 pm. So if you want to spend the night somewhere nearby then you can book a stay at the Sagar Mahal guest house which is situated close to Gandipet. Ocean Park is easily accessible; you can go by State Transport buses as well as private cars.

Another striking feature of this park is its reasonable cost. Ocean Park Hyderabad ticket price is Rs. 350 for an adult and Rs. 230 for a child. There are also special rates for college and school students. To avail that one needs to bring authorisation letter from their respective college. There is also a Double Package includes Snow World . You can choose any of these Ocean Park Hyderabad packages and spend some time memorable time with your family or friends.

Ocean park used to be an amazing place 10 years back. thats probably because ocean park was the only theme park in hyderabad that time and people didn't had many options to visit. since it was visited by many during that time, they used to maintain it properly. Now when I visited recently, I dont say bad, but it is not the same. But still worth to visit, if you haven't visited it already. Btw now ocean park is open from 11:00 am – 7:30 pm.

It is good to visit for few hours. There are many rides, but all are not very enjoyable. I visited with my friends. We liked water rides more than dry ones. With family you can visit for more time as there are many special rides for kids.Although most of the rides are free, they are charging extra for a few rides. This is after paying the entry fee! All of us loved bumping cars but had to pay separately for it. Anyway it was worth. Plan a visit for few hours, try all the rides, rest for a while and have some snacks and come back.

Water rides are fun to try at Ocean park. The best part is they have many interesting rides for children. They have separate kids pool too. My children had really good time, especially at the slides. They even insisted on going back again. For adults too, some of the water rides are awesome. Some of them are quite thrilling. We liked Brake dance and high swinger most. There are some chargeable rides too. They seem to be good but we didn’t have enough time to try them. We will go back again!

The place is good. Although it is very old, it is maintained decently. You will have lots of different rides too. I went to Ocean Park with my friends and their families. Our children liked it more than us! Slides for kids are good and they have separate areas for themselves which they liked more. We also had fun time at few slides.But the food was disappointing. the quality and taste was not as we expected. We were quite hungry after the rides, even kids were asking for food but it disappointed us. We all eventually ate outside after reaching the city.

If you have nothing to do on this weekend, visit Ocean Park. The place is the best but it is good for some hours. Some of the rides are actually fun. I went with just one more friend so we couldn’t enjoy much. It is better to go with a large group of friends. There are some new and more thrilling rides too. We both liked aqua snake most.You have to wear swimming dress only for the water rides so do carry them with you. We rented swimming costumes from the park itself. You can also buy if you want.

"Far from city but good to visit once" - Renuka

Ocean Park is in Gandipet but you hardly have anything in Hyderabad like this. We reached there without any difficulty. Although we went by car, we saw many buses and autos till there. We started immediately after breakfast and reached by 11. This gave us more time to enjoy the rides, and before it gets hot. Later on, we spend entire afternoon in water slides.Good to visit at least once. Do carry your sunscreen and a change of clothes with you.

For a different way to spend time this is good. We always spend our weekends at restaurants and movies so had decided to do something different. Ocean Parks has many different rides. We spent our Saturday there. We reached there by 11.30 and started with dry rides and in afternoon after light snacking we went on to water sports. Water slides are closed by 6 pm so we had to come out by then! Overall we had fun. We are planning to go again after some weeks.
