I had gone to shilparamam as my friends were performing at the open theatre there. After the show, we went for a stroll. This place is loaded with awesome stuff. There are handwoven clothes, and carved wooden and metal decorative pieces. A whole lot of traditional bags and shoes. I had awesome time shopping. It was such a pleasant surprise!

I went to shilparamam on a weekend recently. It wasn’t too crowded but it seems on festivals it gets really crowded. I bought some terracotta earrings at really cheap rates. Had to bargain a lot though. Bought saris too, expensive but worth as these are hand woven. It a good place to shop. But the best part is its ambiance. After shopping you can go and sit and just relax. There are many good sculptures and a live replica of village life too. Nice place to spend a few hours.

Shilparamam is an interesting place. It has cultural shows, awesome shopping venue and beautiful arts and crafts to show. It was a complete package for us.The best part of shilparamam is well maintained. And kept clean so I could take my kids without much worry. There is ample of free space for them to run and play. Shopping is also good but go only if you like to bargain and do a lot of search which is not my cup of tea!

I went to shilparamam on my last Hyderabad tour. This place is decent, more like a tourist village. It is beautiful, have nice sculptures everywhere, some looks weird though. There is a replica of village too, with live-size sculptures of villagers doing their work. You can take a walk or the battery car to see. Shopping here is over-priced so i won’t suggest that. Go only if you just want to see it. Nothing much to do.

I often go here for shopping. Although there is an entry fee for shilparamam it is worth going there for shopping. Here artisans sell their hand-created stuff, woven shawls, bedsheets and cushion covers, even bags and shoes decorated with hands, silk saris and so much more. The best part is it has traditional artefacts from all over the country. When you are shopping in shilparamam, don’t forget to bargain. You will get 20% discount easily and even 40% if you get lucky.

As shilparamam timings are from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm and it is open entire week, we went there after the office. We reached there by 6 and were there till late. This place is awesome. We did a bit of shopping, mostly traditional wares. Had long walks, sat in between, there is a boating option too but we left it for next time. Overall it was a nice place. to enter shilparamam you have to pay entry ticket of rs 40, which is not much once you enter.

I love buying traditional and handcrafted things. Shilparamam is a perfect place for that. You can buy clothes, paintings and even carved decorative pieces directly from the artisans himself. I recently got a Madhubani painting for my new house. Here you can get all the traditional and quirky stuff without having to go to some interiors or outskirts of the city. Now there is shilparamam night bazaar too, i am not sure of the timings, but it is open till late. Soon we are planning to go there too.
