Day 1: Arrival & Hyderabad Sightseeing

Our professional driver will pick you up from the railway station or the bus stand. You and your fellow travellers will leave for Hotel Abode in Lakdikapul in our air-conditioned and clean cab. After checking in, and relaxing for some time, you leave in our taxi for exploring various sightseeing places in Hyderabad. Below are a few popular places to visit.

  • Birla Mandir- Standing beautifully on the top Naubat Pahad at 280 feet above sea level, Birla mandir spells a mesmerising cast on everyone. Built in white marble, this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Spread over 13 acres of land, it was opened in 1976.
  • Lumbini Park- Situated close to Hussain Sagar Lake which is also a popular attraction of the city, Lumbini Park welcomes you to its vast spread of green lawns, varied trees and shrubs. An ideal place for relaxing and picnics, you can also enjoy the 3D laser show, conducted every day here. You can also opt for speed boating at the lake.
  • Necklace Road- This stretch of road connects Hussain Sagar lake, NTR Gardens and Sanjeevaiah Park. Necklace road has many restaurants, eateries and walkways. You can go for a relaxed stroll by the lake side or watch the floating musical fountain at the lake from 7 PM to 10 PM. The statue of Gautam Buddha in the middle of Hussain Sagar lake is also worth admiring. It has been named after the Necklace road in Mumbai’s Marine Drive.   • NTR Gardens- Spread over 36 acres of land, NTR Gardens is a must visit in Hyderabad. Along with soothing green surroundings, it has many entertaining options as well. Roaring Cascade, Japanese Garden, Giant Wheel, Desert Garden, toy train and boating are a few of the attractions in this park.
  • Jagannath Temple, Hyderabad- Replica of the Puri Jaganath temple, it is a popular religious shrine in Hyderabad. Located in Banjara Hills, this temple has an alluring architecture, which has been built in red stone. The offering enclave, dancing hall, Sanctum sanctorum and Mukhashala look absolutely ethereal.
  • Birla Science Museum- Constructed by the revered civil engineer P. A. Singaravelu, this museum promises educational yet entertaining time for all. It comprises a science centre, an art gallery, planetarium and a museum. The dinosaurium within its complex is most popular. The Interactive Science Section presents fun ways to learn scientific concepts.
  • Birla Planetarium- Located within the complex of Birla Science Museum, this planetarium is for kids and adults alike. The Sky Show at planetarium, takes you into the galaxies far away, introducing interesting facts about the universe. These shows are about 50 minutes in length and have been created by using the latest technology.

Day 2: Full Day at Ramoji Film City

Day 3: Hyderabad Local Sightseeing

After a sumptuous breakfast at the Hotel Abode, you will start your day in our air conditioned car. Our driver cum guide will take you to visit a few more tourist attractions in the city.

  • Charminar- You cannot miss visiting Charminar when in Hyderabad. This is why our driver cum guide will drive you to this historical and captivating monument. It was built in 1591 by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah.
  • Laad Bazaar- One of the oldest markets of Hyderabad, Laad Bazaar is a shopping paradise where you can find almost everything. However, it is especially popular for glass and lacquer bangles, pearls and jewellery with semi-precious stone. It is often said that this market dates back to the time of the Nizams.
  • Qutub Shahi Tombs- Located quite close to the Golconda Fort, these are seven architecturally magnificent tombs of the seven royals of Qutub Shah Dynasty. Each tomb displays intricately carved arches, minarets and domes. The tomb of Qutub Shahi dynasty founder Sultan Quli Qutub-ul-Mulk is the most attractive of all.
  • Chowmahalla Palace- Constructed by the fifth Nizam, Afzal-ud-Daula, Asaf Jah V, its structure seems to be inspired by the architecture of Shah Palace of Tehran. Some of the most attractive features of this palace are the grand durbar halls, fountains, well maintained gardens, and galleries displaying the history of Hyderabad and Nizams.
  • Mecca Masjid- The largest mosque of Hyderabad, Mecca Masjid was constructed in 1614 by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah. This mosque has a capacity for more than 10,000 people and is adorned with impressive arches and Belgian crystal chandeliers.
  • Salar Jung Museum- With an impressive collection of more than 4300 artefacts, 4700 printed books and 900 manuscripts, it is one of the largest museums in India. Established in 1951, Salar Jung museum has 38 galleries, each displaying rare items from all over the world such as a veiled marble statue of Rebecca, 19th Century British Musical Clock, etc.
  • Golconda Fort- Initially built in the 11th century during the Kakatiya reign, Golconda fort was later renovated and developed further during the rule of Qutub Shahi Dynasty. This monumental building has many interesting aspects such as Ramdas’ prison, Rahban cannons, water supply system, acoustics, etc. The sound and light show in the voice of actor Amitabh Bachchan is another attraction.
